I am trying to get the inner clutch sheave off this little motor to re-seal it (as it won't pulse)...but I can't get it off! From what I have read, it's a thread on tapered shaft...but we had a long pipe wrench, heat, and a heavy gut at the end of the wrench, with no success! Any ideas??? Help!

You are right, threaded & taper.Take the center bolt out & pull outer shieve off.At end of shaft,it should have a flat surface on each side of round shaft.Thats where you put your wrench. Put a rope down through spark plug hole ,turn engine to make sure it won't turn, that will keep engine from turning, when you turn it off.It turns off CCW,just like a nut/bolt.Tighten,go right or CW. Cyberlynx says they can be a real bearcat to get off sometimes. You can also contact him,as he has one on his workbench.I just got off the phone with him. Good luck.

Ruppdate on the Sprint 23! After soaking the threads on the inner sheave with penetrant for about a week, we were finally able to get it off. Next was having a custom made puller made for the flywheel...Once the motor was finally apart, the reason for no pulse was obvious...the mad side seal was blown right off! Not damaged at all, so probably a backfire took it out. The clutch side liked fine, too...but I bought the full gasket set, so may as well use it! I put the motor back in sled tonight, and got everything all back together...and it only took a few pulls to get it running! A little tweaking of the idle screws and it runs very smoothly! Even wanted to run off the front of the trailer when I gave it a bit of gas!! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, Dan! It was especially helpful with the flywheel part!
