Sprint 34,with NO engine,in the sled.It did come with an engine,a TR440 & a few extra parts. This sled had a track conversion, sometime ago. It has an early Rupp track in it,from a 1968,S-281. I cleaned the sled up,got all the mouse crap out & started to check it over.It has a homemade seat riser on it,I'll bet it will hold 3 cases of beer. It also had a canvas rifle scabboard screwed to the drivers side of the hood.I'm thinking it was used by a hunter/trapper type of guy.I will eventually part it out,but thought I'd get it running & have some fun with it,maybe. I looked on my engine shelf & spotted a 73 TR340 that I melted down 3 yrs ago & then replaced the jug & piston.I put the engine in tonight, got it to run on the Keihin carb that was on it when it went down.I seems to run ok,not great,so a Tilly will go on it.This is the FIRST Rupp I've bought in the last years time frame!!! I haven't really seen any sleds that perked my interest,BUT this one did! WHY you ask? Because it looks like a POS! I like the survivor look of sleds. Scabboard. The track is a short one, maybe 114".The rear bearing housings are moved forward alot! BUT this track is quite useable, not sure about the front, rubber drivers. The track turns ok,so I will use it as is. Just when you think you have seen everything,up pops something different. Its amazing some of the stuff I've seen on the Rupps I've hauled home. I'm just picking up some of the odd Rupps I happen to come across.Nothing fancy, just something to have some fun with.

I wanna know what gun you're going to tote in that scabboard?! Don't know what direction you are headed now but I would like to see a "Ruppluver Trapper Special"! A true Rupp utility sled... you're always saying that you build them the way you want, maybe it's time to let us vote and have you build something everyone can contribute to? You've got the imagination and skill set to do it, what do you say?

Don't bother putting it in! The sled will turn on a dime, now...a bit more steering effort will be needed, but will corner way better!

Here is the new Rupp, all back together with the Sachs SA297 from my rat sled. I put it back in the shop,to rest, after it's maiden voyage, which turned out ok.This sled was done in 6 days, which included fixing/repairing the tunnel. The TRACK,is a 1968 S-281 DUAL drive track, which is 114" long.
