Hi
have not been on here for a while, but have been active in the Rupp World. i recently obtained a couple of Nitro projects with some Magnum thrown in for good measure. From what I gather the fellow was going to put a Magnum front End on a Nitro Tunnel and skid. All the parts have been powder coated and prepped for the rebuild. The question I have is will any of the rear skid parts work on a Magnum skid? I have a 76 Magnum tunnel but no rear skid or the very rare track at the moment. I have though found a Magnum skid and hear it's in pretty poor shape I haven't picked it up yet. BTW I think I have enough to build 2 complete sleds out of the parts. I'm still digging through it all
Thanks for you input in advance

The only part that might work is the rear swing arm. Don't know if the idlers will line up with the Mag track. Everything else is different for sure. Hope this helps. Joe

Thanks for the info, I did some investigation and yes nothing will work. I'm leaning towards the nitro magnum build, it makes sense and will be usable the few times I take it out. Also I have all the parts ready to go powder coated and pretty!
I do have a Magnum tunnel with an ownership so I can actually call it a Magnum!
Cheers
I guess I better start a build thread

I might have a solution for your 76 magnum track/suspention delema.I have converted several 76 mags to rubber track. I use an internal drive conversion track for a skidoo safari 377E. it is 114"x16"x3/4" lug with 2.52 pitch internal drive. to use it on the Mag suspention you must use a nitro rear axle and reposition the upper idler wheels. use nitro drive wheels as the magnum uses 3.29 pitch.they too must be repositioned on the drive axle. you should have everything there but a track, and I have one NOS track left.

BTW, I have a Doo Safari track under my 76 Mag now and looking to stick a R racing track under it, rule change in my racing group. Let me know if interested. Very nice track.

Hey sorry for the late reply, the safari conversion sounds like a great way to go. I have not done a bunch on the sled in the last little bit, was on a holiday and been busy at work. I also picked up a something yellow I've been tinkering with. I plan on working on the Rupp again tomorrow and the weekend. I want it looking like a sled again.
Pm me with the price of the track Cheers!
