Hi i had to change out my track on my 76 nitro and i had notice that the clutch was hiting the top of my spindle is this right only a little clearce between them any help with this let me know thanks-ruppfan

Ruppfan might be getting some photos posted. I would be easier to see where his problem is.

Im guessing i know what may be wrong....i had that issue and thanks to the guys here .....i fixed it.
your engine mounts to a motor plate, between the motor plate and the engine (where the bolts pass through) there should be several washers and aluminum spacer/sleeves.
Mine was missing all the washers. while i wasnt right on the spindle with the clutch, it was so close i couldnt get the Belt on.
check that there are washers between the motor plate and the aluminum spacer sleeves.
