About 135 vintage sleds showed up this year including about 7 or 8 immaculate rupps. The 2 day event included a drag race, the Jurrassic Classic for really old sleds and the main event a 32 mile cross country race. Sleds had to be 1975 or older, 1976's were allowed if manuafactured in 75 . We took home a bunch of trophies, awards and cash prizes. In the drags rupps won the 340 and the 440 classes. I blew a piston and Gene Blooms clutch came apart in the cross country but everybody else finished in the top 10. Here are a few pictures from that weekend. Great Pics, is there any possibility that you know who owns that 76 Nitro in the 3rd Picture...id love to know where they got that "Short" windshield.
Id like one for my 76 Brute (as opposed the the Giant "cone of silence" it came with)....
thanks...!!!!

I'm blown away Rick!!! ;D The sleds AND those famous names to boot!!THANKS A MILLION-AWESOME PICS! ;D ;D ;D Hey Dave, I think someone mentioned earlier you can cut the top off a Gen2 Polaris Indy windshield to make it fit the L/C hood? I could be wrong but I'm positive it was mentioned before.

yes this truly some neat history here. all the guys that made rupp famous for racing, 30 years later there all back in it. the 76 magnum, 76 l/c nitro, 75 nitro f/c, and most of the parts for the 73 magnum all came from me. the 76 magnum was restored, the l/c nitro was all orginal wth 400 miles on it and if i remember corrctly the f/c nitro had less than 200 miles on it. the 73 magnum was a combination of o.e.m. and a/m parts. i know jim binkley and his crew went to town disasembled everything rebuilt the sleds and put them back together before the race. they did a wonderful job on the sleds and they look awesome. rick your 73 magnum looks awesome also. thank you guys for all the orders and work. i was glad to help out and give the knowledge i have learned over the years for your racing efforts. dave if you want a low cut windshield we have them in stock. i can send you one in the decal kit when i send it next week. i will let you know how much they are. b.s.171
