Joe, There's also something else under the hood, I only know because I spoke with Jim about it. What could it be? ;D The engine is offset to the left, both pipes must go right.Could only be done using a jackshaft.I plan on putting together something like this with that 500 3LC I posted earlier in this thread.

Yes it is Stick's. It has a 340 Zenoah Green Dripper in it. It runs great. He needs to get some air filters on it though as the carbs will ice up on a snowy day or if there is a lot of snowdust in the air.

Rick, on a few of our new sleds they have coolant lines running through the carbs, with the option of turning them on and off for colder weather. might be an option Jake could look at?

To much work and money to go that route. I told him to take some pantyhose and cover the carb intake.

Nice... but looking to change brands .. what other choices do I have? With the collection of free airs you have? Maybe a liquid Magnum before you change brands.

After seeing this one I wished we still had ours! they were both 75 G's, 74 F had cleated track, low comp heads XA cylinders, 75 rubber track hi compression heads XB cyls, ski wideners, cheap to fix and easy to find parts (tracks, pistons, etc ;D) and go like hell

my friends had gpx 338s and gpx433s back in 1976-77 they had to race me everytime out for two years straight, i was running 76 magnum 340 at the the time with dulco quick shift clutch and studded track i had more trouble with 440 fa rupp and 440 fa sno twisters in drag races, they were working on them yamahas all the time had those keihin carbs on them stock , the 76 magnum 340 had a hole shot and good top end with that dulco clutch back then it was easy to adjust the weights with adding or taking out shims on the arms and had a good back shift, then one of the yamaha guys got a 76 srx liquid balance of power shifted again you had to get a new sled about every two years back in the 70s

Here is an early photo of the 75 F/A with a liquid jackshaft assembly, Merc Twister pipes and a hydraulic brake added. I am hoping to have the machine cleaned and painted for this summer's show. (This picture was taken before the 73 Magnum paint scheme was added.)
