I do not have any machine sanders. It will all be done by hand. Starting with steel wool and going up to 1,500 grit just isnt enough. Let meknow what you think b - 4 Ido some thing dumb. I would've been in full agreement to stay as far away from blasting an aluminum tunnel as possible, but I read about the guy that soda blasted paint off an old windshield, then buffed it out and it turned out pretty nice. So this had me thinking, how would this work on a tunnel that'll be painted anyway and would a normal pressurized blaster work for this and with what media? I've been having a fun time getting paint off the corners and such of a few tunnels previously powder coated or painted with self-etching primers.

soda will not remove the scratches but it workd good on jugs. heads and other motor parts also chain cases.
