I am updating my 76 Nitro track and suspension to a 15 x 121 track and I can see that moving the drive sprockets to the existing holes in the drive shaft to drive on the center track lugs that they do not line up properly. The drive sprocket on the clutch side gets inverted and pressed to the next hole and looks like it will be positioned correctly but the chain case side just gets pressed to the next hole and I can see this position is too far inboard and will not line up properly with the track drive lugs! Did the magnum use a different sprocket in this location? Thanks for any help!!!!

re-drill the holes in drive shaft. I had to do that when I used a Nitro shaft & drivers in my 76 Sport.

Did the clutch side line up ok? Drilling a new hole will be hard to do accurately with only a drill press! Any other options?

I used a drill press, had to drill BOTH sides.I do what I have to,to get things to work, might not be correct, but it worked for me.There are always other options when working on sleds. It seems whenever you change to a different track, the drivers just about always have to be moved!

I forget how I did mine but I think the hard part is getting the wheels above shock to line up correct ? or wheel I forget what is there ?

The 2 wheels in the upper rear suspension will not be a problem because I am going to install a different rear suspension. The drive sprockets are what I am working on now.

You just mark them and drill not much to it . Make sure you line up teeth in sprockets !

I removed the clutch side drive sprocket , inverted it and reinstalled to the next hole , lines up perfect with the center drive lugs on that side! Roll pin broke apart removing it- I'll just use grade 8 bolts and nylock nuts to reattach drive sprockets. Now to locate and drill the chain side hole. How do I post pics?

I have the drive sprockets relocated! Turned out excellent! I had to invert the chain case side also so the hole I drilled was separated from existing holes. I put pictures in the Rupp forum photobucket but can not transfer to here! I am using my IPhone and when I touch IMG it does nothing- probably have to use a computer?

Thanks Magnumal, picture looks better posted here! I have a set of leef springs for my Nitro that I would like to verify are 77, they are thicker metal then my 76 and have one less helper spring but it is also thicker, I posted a pic in the Rupp photobucket. Does the 76 and 77 use the same shock arrangement and 78 shock is different where it bolts to the spring instead of the spindle pivot bolt?

I have a 73 chassis so the leef springs may be 73?would they be strong enough to use on my 76?
