I tore down my Tohatsu TR340,that I burned down in March. Ok,the PTO seal went because both bearings were bad, full of rust which I'm sure got into the seal. With the bearing going bad,I checked the seal,it fit QUITE loose on the shaft. The question I have is,the original crank bearings have an orange stripe on them.If I replace the bearings, they won't have that stripe on them. What is the purpose of the orange stripe??? Can you run both the original & replacements or not. The mag side & center bearings are good. Thanks.
