done powder coated dash wrong suspension , another somebodys jerry rigs Motor mount welded up and holes moved , same on chassi

Looking good Gary. That sled was the very first what if sled built. It's really a 75 or was when it was first built.

Ditto what Kevin said. Envious of shop, thats a pretty cool suspension there, by the way, what is so wrong about that suspension? Looks pretty right for the one I've been looking for, 76 Magnum with some anti- stabs.

wrong width for track and rails are way to long . seems to be a 76 nitro suspension , but could be a 1975 possiable

rails shortened 5 1/2" and narrowed 1/2" . narrowing all the arms and shafts . and moving idlers in correct positions . painted and surfaced head new cylinder head coolant plug ,made on indexer. plenty more to come

what track are you using length and width? the oringnal hyfax for the 76 mag kalamazoo 4 band track 112 inch the hyfaxes were about 1/2 inch wider when installed , the hyfax it self was wider than the nitro hyfaxes bill stull was to have some more made up for this season dodnt know if he got them done yet though, snosnake had oringnal water tank plug out of alluminun too ive gotten a few from him , a lot of work aND time cutting that big metric coarse thread on that plug and cutting hex on it, nice job on it so far , I have lots of parts for those engines available pm if you need something, kevin

were usein the 112" kalamazoo 4 band track. So are u saying the rails and hyfax are 1/2" wider each The only reason were doin it this way is because we cant find a 76 magnum suspension and cant afford the one Bill has for 500.00 .

we widen the rails apart a total of 1/2" ( 1/4" each side to fit track )

the allum rails are same width between nitro and magnum the hyfax is wider on magnum Attachment Deleted magnum on left nitro on right the magnum hyfax is 1.250 wide the nitro is 1.000 just using the magnum slides you would gain a 1/4 inch in over all width

the rails Attachment Deleted on stock 76 magnum are 9inches on centers maybe 8 7/8 hard to see in the dark where sled is right now add 1 1/4 for the hyfax gets you at 10 1/4, 10 1/8 outside width of rails

I see what your saying know ! thanks for posting info . i swear every time we work on this sled we find something else thats odd to this year sled lol always learning though !
so then were going to need to locate a set of wider hyfaxs . And u said bill might be getting some made ?
