I'm not on here much anymore but thought some of you might like to see my newest creation. I've always wanted to build one like this, finally got around to it. Joe Attachments:

This started out as a really rough 250 Magnum. I picked it up wanting to build a 76 to use as a rider. I used the Sno pro glass on this one to sorta practice for the next one. This glass is lower than the stock glass so lowering the motor is a must. This causes the coil to hit the steering so that get relocated as well. Using stock pipes means the hood will hit the upper can so that gets modified as well. I wanted a longer, rubber track to make it a little more rider friendly so I used an NOS Chap track I had. These are 118" so I had to build a suspension to fit it. Replaced the front swing arm with a modified 75 F/A set up I had, added that to a pair of shortened 76 Nitro rails. The back 2-3 inches of the tunnel was missing some pretty good size chunks and I had to add a tunnel extension anyway so I just removed the back 3" and added on from there. Motor is a completly rebuilt 76 440. Added a small heat exchanger to help with the cooling. Think i'm gonna have to put a little more track on the ground or stud it or both. Right now it makes a really good snow thrower!

Really impressive Joe. That sled looks GREAT in black. Be really boring if ALL Rupps were RED!!!!

Kevin, Not tired of the red yet. Always thought one of these would look pretty good all done up in black and as mentioned I have another yet to do. However it will be done as correct as possible. That will probably be my LAST complete/correct resto. Rupplover, I agree-the same old same old gets rather boring after a while. I'd rather create instead of doing what everyone else does!

Very nice Joe! Kinda reminds me of the Magnum the Krugers used to campaign on the ice drag circuit.

Man if Darth Vader rode snowmobile that would be his. What a mean looking machine you got there, the envy of all the boys on the block I bet!

Thanks for the nice comments guys, I appreciate it. I thought about calling it Darth Vader but Josh already has Darth and I didn't think that would be right. There's nothing stealth about it, you can definatly hear it run. I removed the packing and enlarged the holes in the baffles. It's not loud but sounds different. I think it sounds just like my 76 liquid Twister did. You should see all the crap inside those cans! No wonder they weigh so much! Three seperate screens, five baffles and some packing and the pipe fits into an internal stinger that goes about half way back in the can-sheeesh! Joe

LOL !!! It doesn't bother me, but DARTH would get mad most definitely !!!!! I just wish I could find out who named him, and owned him before I bought it from the middle man. Don't know if I ever told you that story ??
