Yesterday my Dad, Luke, cousin Phil, and I went to Castle Rock. We brought the 72 295 Nitro, 72 340 Nitro, 72 400 Nitro, 75 440 F/A, 76 440 Rally, 76 250 Nitro, 76 340 Magnum, and 76 440 Magnum. The track was shortened to 350 feet because the ice was very rough from the frigid weather. They had a very good turnout and the weather was nice for a change !! It was also cool to see Joe Hill run his sled. That Ski Doo looks like a hand full !!! Here are the results:
86 and newer 500 STOCK 2nd. Luke 75 440 F/A 500 MOD 1st. Josh 76 440 Magnum 600 MOD 2nd. Josh 76 440 Magnum
85 and older 0-400 Fan 1st. Dad 72 340 Nitro 2nd. Phil 72 400 Nitro OPEN Fan 1st. Luke 76 440 Rally
0-340 F/A stock 2nd. Dad 72 340 Nitro 0-500 F/A stock 1st. Luke 75 440 F/A 0-300 L/C stock 1st. Luke 76 250 Nitro 2nd. Phil 72 295 Nitro 0-340 L/C stock 1st. Dad 72 340 Nitro 0-500 L/C stock 1st. Luke 75 440 F/A 0-340 MOD 1st. Josh 76 340 Magnum 0-500 MOD 1st. Josh 76 440 Magnum OPEN MOD VINTAGE 1st. Josh 76 440 Magnum
And yes.... this time we did have to rent a U haul to get the trophies home. If I can find any pictures I'll post them up.

Man, I know there's 3 of you,but it still is an achievement to keep that many old sleds running so consistently good!

It was a very good day! I did hear alot of complaining about jumping the vintage sleds in with the new sleds though, and even had a guy walk up to me that was staged in the next lane and ask if this was an open mod class because i was running a FA in a liquid class. Whatever. Also ruppreds flamin skidoo was dang fast, i think the last run was clocked at 85mph in 350'. Next year you will go home with the King of the Lake trophy man!

You would think running 8 sleds in 1oo different classes would keep them busy but they had time to help me run too...Again Thank you!!! Their sleds are ready to go when they unload, they got a smooth well oiled system, AND they had to share a helmet cause somebody forgot theirs...Good Job Guys

They can tear away whenever they want. As long as when they are done they dont put them back together, because they all are in need of a freshening up in the piston department and josh will vouch for that! We dont believe in messing with a good thing. As long as were racing and winning why mess with stuff. However compression is getting a little low in a few of them.

Yeah, there are a few motors that need to be freshened up. Dad and Phil talked me right out of rebuilding my 340 motor. So that's one less !! Thanks Dad and Phil !! LOL !! But there is a lot of work to be done on one motor. The 250 to be exact !! Not much compression equals no HP.
Like Rick and Mark said... We have come a long way from where we first started. We didn't know a damn thing !!! We struggled for a long time to figure everything out. Now between the 3 of us we have quite a few sleds that are Freaking Land Missiles !! All the good advise from friends for carburetor tuning, clutching, and everything else helped us out big time !!
ALSO , I need to thank all the people that helped me when I needed parts really bad !! One or two days later there would be a box of parts sitting there in my driveway. Called you guys up to ask how much I owe you. Your reply was No Cost !! Go Kick Some Butt !!
Well...your parts helped me win !! And the way I look at it !!! You guys should be celebrating as much as I am !! You had a huge part of it all !!! THANKS !!!!
