Can't remember how long I've been a member here, but I have learned an amazing amount of information that I couldn't have found anywhere else. I have also found that some people have information that they are not willing to share, and that's there right, I guess. I don't consider being a memeber too much to ask of someone who really needs the exchanges that go on here, that's the way it should be. Just my opinion!

OK Pathfinder, help me out. Could you measure the center to center between the carbs on that 650? I have an Algon injection system for a twin,I suspect its for the Red Baron? Thanks.

I would be happy to help you out, but feel it only fair to tell you that this 650 is a converted axial flow, not a true Red Baron! It is a "Bit chin" example of period specific build, with its Chappy mod pipes, hand made barrel tank and velocity stacks, dual driver conversion and 72 Nitro rear skid and track, vintage striping. Not as cool as a 600 free air, but must have been a hoot to "wrestle" around.

Thanks. I'm considering modifying the throttle body casting to fit the Tohatsu. No hurry, but if anyone can tell me the center to center of a Hirth Red Baron, it would help me decide. Even the measurement from spark plug to spark plug is good.

I'm still here too, don't post much, but I like to read the banter and stories. Love this place. We had a baby boy last nov...so I haven't had the time to get the mag going yet. It will happen. But now there is 3 Rupp fans in the family... :-) Attachment Deleted

This was posted April 3rd. It will be interesting to see how many if any more members sign up in the coming weeks. We are currently at 1195. As of today,12/25,there are 1262 members[on paper, anyway]. Yes,we are getting some new members, which is great! I'm sure the actual number is less.I've seen members who joined in 2008,who have made ZERO posts! Kinda wonder if they still are into the Rupps.
