Looks like they would be for the front steering spindles but there is no shoulder,I see some dimples so you may be able to locate where they belong by finding the matching dimples on the sled

I'd have to say they aren't for that sled. Unless they are in the water pump ?? Not sure what is inside of them.

not from water pump, it has a shaft and bearing cartridge all in one assy that presses into the housing , I have never seen any bushing like that on any of the liquid stuff sled

It's an internally shouldered bushing with a radius on the outer edge. That would tell me it goes on the end of a shaft of some nature, bronze could be a bearing surface as well.

Hey Magnum76, I was just reading the post on general section from 772george about his 78 Nitro and on first page, look down at the 2nd pic of his small exh. cans, appears to be a bushing between pipe tip and can hole. I've never seen a bushng there but could be you're bushings? If your pipes fit really loose in can, check it out? Josh, you ever see a bushing there before? Lot of really different stuff going on with that sled.

Larry I did see them bushings on that other sled also. I've never seen bushings on any of the stuff that I've tinkered with. Usually they are a tight fit.
