It's in boxes, bought upstate NY. No drive axle or track.. What's best route for a replacement? It has mongrel suspension but i'd be willing to replace it.. I'm not looking for total restoration, something for the occasional ride on the lake etc... Thinking speed track with studs... Suggestions?

What do you mean it has mongrel suspension ?? You would need a track around 112 inches. If you go to a track around 121 inches you would have to add on to the tunnel. Just stick a 76 Nitro suspension in it and a Polaris track. You'll need to move the wheels around a little but it isn't hard.

If you can save the suspension could go with a Merc Twister rubber track 111".

It looks like a copy of the Magnum suspension but all aluminum.. Rupp rails, 4 wheels out back. It's a little bent..
Someone took the time to fabricate it with grease fittings etc..

If it's tweeked I would replace it. If it were mine I would add a tunnel extension and go with a early-mid 80's Polaris suspension and modern 121 track. It's an easy conversion and would ride better without putting the rear of the sled way up in the air. I would be interested in the old suspension if you want to let it go. If they're savable I could really use the aluminum parts on a sled i'm currently building. Joe
