Here are the earliest pictures I have. They were taken about 8 years ago with a cheap dig. camera. This is how my sled looked when I got it from my Dad in 1983.
I cleaned and painted a few things from 1993 to 1994. Cut the windshield down with a sawzall and used masking tape as my guide. Back then, i had no computer and no way of knowing anybody had parts. I had never seen another Rupp around here. I also did not know what i had. The only thing i knew was, this sled was special just because my Dad gave it to me. The fact that he gave it to me was the only reason it sat and collected dust and didn't go to the scrap yard. The only thing wrong was that i blew the track off within the first hour of bringing it back home to my Moms house. Dry rot sucks !
In 2000, I learned how to use my first computer. The first thing i looked up was Rupp Snowmobile. To my amazement I stumbled across a small web site Called: Welcome to the Rupp message board. I was HOOKED ! Every thing I know, was learned from a group of gentlemen on this new found site. I am still in the dark when the tech talk starts flying but, every day I learn something new by the same gentlemen. I had no clue that i was about to make some great friends. I could not believe that this group of guys were going to answer ALL of my questions with out telling me to get lost. This is the only site on the entire Internet that is not only informational and professional, but a welcome wagon for all. I have said it b-4 and will say it till the day i draw my last breath. The people on here are my brothers. If my brothers did not exist, my sled would still be collecting dust.
Next step was the Hood & Windshield. Thank you Paul For the great job! Paul is our Mechanic at work. He did this for me on his own time and did not charge me for his work. Paul is AWESOME
Well, had to make a new clutch cover. Here is what made for the new 102c. First photo was the original.
Last step, is now 13 months later. Today the decals went on. Thank You Brandt, for NOTHING less than TOP quality on ALL that you supplied for my obsession.
I can't thank Cory, enough for the use of his board. Bottom line is, With out your board this would not have happened. Thank you from BankRuppt Eddie all the way to Rick the "Snow Snake" Weaver.
And a HUGE Thank You !!!! To Brandt Hansen, of Rupp Parts
