Just got back from the vintage sled show in Otego, NY - not a big turnout but an absolutely beautiful day - we still had a great time talking to all the sled owners about their vintage iron. I went with my son Brandon and my Dad, we really enjoyed the day!! Here are shots of all of the sleds at the show:



As usual - the Cat Limo made its' appearance!!

This little 292 Cat racing sled was absolutely immaculate - the megaphone exhaust makes a racket!!







The guy with the little Cat had his wife with him - they were a real nice couple - she did this Swinger herself, and she loves going to the shows. I asked her to marry me but she wouldn't dump her husband!!!

This guy had a couple of real nice Sno-Jet Thunderjets. He started them up, boy they sounded great, especially the single!!

THAT'S ALL I GOT!! HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE SHOW!!! Absolutely not a RUPP in theplace, but I did pick up a set of pipes for a 250 Nitro/Magnum for $25.00 - not a nad deal. I'll post you on the next show I attend!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hey Wigman ?? 250 pipes I have yet to find what the difference is between the 250's and 440's. I've heard from many people that they are different.

The 76's all used the same pipe, 250, 340, 440 were all the same (Rupp p/n 39213 and 39214).

The '77 440 (Rupp p/n 39389 and 39390) and 250 (p/n 39278 and 39280) pipes were different from each other - and both were different than the '76 pipes - they had shorter head pipes for a quicker pulse, and the 250 pipes were smaller at the expansion part of the pipe. Both '77 engines ran a little higher in the rpm range because of the shorter head pipes, and the 250 put out a little more real power I understand. Wig

I didn't stick around for the awards, no Rupps there so the thrill wasn't the same! I'll bet they didn't have any trophies like you and Al had!! Of course, there were not any sleds there that could compete with yours and Al's sleds, either.

Keith, I knew they were all different numbers but I nevered noticed the difference. Do you have some pics that you can post to show the difference. Or isn't it noticable
