Who's gonna be the first one to post it ( Record your Rupp liquid tach needle at 83-8400rpm. I won't until some one else does it first. (I'm still somewhat camera shy). Contest Rules are simple...Entry deadline March 20th/'08 (1)Must be a 1976-'78 RUPP liquid cooled 250,340 or 440 Nitro or Magnum , or '76 Alouette Brute or S/Brute (2)be Xenoah L/C powered, stock exaust (with orig. silencers in place) (3) MUST be driving on actual snow, ( or dirt/grass if you don't have access to snow in your area)not revving on a track stand.. |

dave started something now Iam sure if he had a sled that would do it he would have already been at my door this morning to go riding the best we can do would be 6000rpm on my 400 fan he doesnt have tack and my FA tack isnt working good luck guys cant wait to see post magnum Al

cory you started this thread to late for me, how about a 250 l/c super mod engagement at 8000 rpm's and red line 10,800 rpm's. we could even of got it taking the checkerd flag at a few races. b.s.

If I can get it in before the season is over I'll get some shots, my Nitro (the '77 - the one that runs) hits just shy of 9500rpm at top end. I just need about 1/4 mile of wide open to get it there. The clutch hits at 5500, it jumps to 8500 and then creeps up as speed builds after shiftout. Wig

Expecting about 2" of ice. They say it will start around 12pm and go for 24 hours. With this kinda condition, I may be able to hit that 83 hundred with a 68 hundred motor. I should be able to do this in about a 4" run  Wig, One of these days i will try and drop another hello to you  Dave. |

Well, have to dig up another clutch this "rattler" might fly apart on me. This is my orig. unrestored, never had a head off,'76 340 Nitro, just testing my homebuilt camera mount, Action video comin' soon ;D
