I have 76 340 Sprint (I'm in canada.Is it a Sport in the US?)
The engine case (fan cooled twin) has a plate the reads Made exclusivly for Chapparal by Fuji Motors. There's Rupp/ Xenoah decal over top the plate. Whats the deal?
Rupp was owned by Chapparal at some time near there.. I think.
Any chance this engine has chromed cylinders? I want to go one size over. Is it really obvious when you look at them?

I pulled this 340 Zenoah out of a 1976 Rupp Sport. The cylinders were not chrome in my motor. It's a model G34B SS.

From what I understand, after Chap went out of business and Rupp took over providing the specs for Xenoah to make the liquids, they also bought the leftover Xenoah fan cooled engines that were never used and put them into the Sport for '76-77. Probably for a song, they were actually a pretty good engine. The Rupp sticker over the Chappy plate shows what they did. The motor is genuine for the Rupp you have. Wig

Are these Rupps worth more than the other Rupps of that year? Because of the tag change? Just curious. Thanks.

You can never have too many Magnums. I almost bought 2 more 76 Mags. But am seriously thinking about buying another 73 Mag. Its either a 73 or I'm going to get some work done with my mustang. What would you do More HP in the mustang or a 73 Mag ?

I have a Mustang but no Magnum. My Stang already has plenty of power, just need a Magnum badly. Working on accumulating parts to make my '76 Nitro into a Magnum. I actually think I am going to do a Super Brute, that will have to do until I can get the real thing! Wig

If you acquire all the parts to turn a nitro into a Super Brute who is to know that it wasn't original Chassis numbers won't tell you a thing so I wouldn't be worried about it.
