Today Al and I did some wrenching and got his Nitro ll fired and running under its own power. We have a few kinks to work out but, all & all......This should be a petty sweet trail machine

We have no way of telling that engagement Its high but that still is to be determined with tack I would guess between 4and 5 Its enough to keep Dave on his toes ;D

We will soon see if it stays together on a run down the field . Does anyone remember from the old days how I got that old clutch to engage higher? Lets hear what you think.

Al: You can put shim washers behind the spring, each 1/16" washer will raise the engagement about 250rpm's, just watch out for the spring bottoming out, it can break if it does. Otherwise you need a stiffer spring, you see them around all the time. It will also delay shifting out sa little, giving the engine a chance to rev up more before it shifts out. Wig
