Well , I finally got the fuel system all replaced and everything cleaned in my '69 GT300...it supposedly ran last year...now it appears there is no spark. I've NEVER messed with ignition stuff, so I have no idea where to start...can someone hold my hand here?? Thanks in advance! Richard

If you pull off the recoil you should be able to see the points and condencer through the peek hole on the fly wheel,Use a small nail file btween the points. A couple of quick rubs between them and then take a piece of clean paper and run that through it and you should have spark,if not you may have to replace either the condencer or the coil.Give that a shot...DENNIS

I took off the recoil and looked and looked, and there is no hole in the flywheel...do I have to take it off? It looks like it needs a puller...any more ideas??

If you pull the fly wheel make sure that the bolts dont go clear through or you will wreck the coils in side. I found that a good steering wheel puller works just fine.put the puller on and turn it by hand till you get it good and tight, then hit the puller bolt with a hammer then turn it tight again and hit it again, just wath out when it lets loose it will fly out twards you with some force,if it dont come off turn it as tight as you can hit it and crank it tight and let it sit over night,if it isnt off start with a couple of hits and crank it tight again,if you have an impact wrench you can try that to,when you get the fly wheel off then file down the points and just slide the fly wheel on and spin it by hand you will know if you have spark or not.Hope this helps.
