there are a bunch of on lunger races that i would love to race but i need to have a rupp!!! 400 cc prefered but not a must. what sled do i need? i would really like to race the tired iron 150 at the soo. thats the main reason i want one. i just couldn't think off a rupp from 70 to 75 that was a one lunger. im guessing it would have to be befor then...

Rupps biggest one lunger was a 370. I'm sure that these could be bored out a ton though. There should be all kinds of pistons out there. Them old Sachs fanners were very common in just about all sled manufacturers.

Yes the 69 sno sport but you would want to clone a 69 GTX and run the 340 hirth (194R)

well i asked the people putting on the race and they said it was ok to put the 370 in any sled i wanted as long as it was pre 75. I was thinking about taking the 400 ccw out of my 70 sprint and finding a hirth 340 or a sachs 370 and put it in that sled. It also says i can use any rear suspension that is made befor 85. what do you guys think i should use for that? I was thinking maybe a 73 rear skid. I don't know enough about the 74 and up sleds to know if that suspension will work. let me know

I'd run a 85 polaris suspension. You can lower the chain case 3/4 of an inch without too much difficulty and use the smaller 8 tooth track drivers and run a 1 inch or maybe an 1 1/4 paddle track. This settup should really help when the track gets rough and mushy. Also unless they changed the rules any sled with a MFG date of 75 is legal. That means anything 76 and older can run. Joe
