Well I have been lurking here for about a week and decided to join up. I recently bought a 76 Nitro 440 with the intent of oval racing in the SLEDS super stock class. I plan on being ready for the 2009 2010 season. I know there are some racers on here and I was wondering if some of you guys could give me some tips and tricks for racing. So far I have looked the sled over and come up with a lose idea of what I am going to do with the sled.
I intend to go through every thing and replace all the bearing in the sled, use a Wahl or Anderson oval skid with an R series track 121x15x.5, north star racing skis,oval bars, different seat and tank, 102C primary and a Polaris secondary and completely rebuild the motor. Thanks guys for any input you have on this.
P.S. I used 80TXLMAN and not a Rupp-ish name because I am a member of some other boards and that is my name on there, so I did it so I would be recognized.
