I know a guy thats going to be reproducing hydroformed pipes. I'm going to have a few sets of 73 Magnum pipes repro'd. How many of you might be interested in some of these. My dad has a perfect set to have copied. I figured the more he makes the cheaper they will cost. Just trying to get a rough estimate. I didn't ask him a price per set. He won't be completely set up til after the first of the year. Let me know.

The 73 Magnum has funky header pipes because of the angled exit of the exhaust port. You would have to make a set of head pipes to make them work on the TR engines.

Ed... these should be absolutely perfect. All Merc pipes were built with this equipment. Hes updating everything with newer computers so it'll be til after the first of the year til he gets back to me. Man I thought there would be alot more people interested than this !! I know i need 2 or 3 sets. I'm sure my dad will need a few sets. So I guess theres 5 sets already. Ed may need a set or two. Ed , them header pipes somebody should really reproduce !!!! They wouldn't be hard to make. Why hasn't anyone repro'd tham yet  ?? I know I need 2 sets !!! |

Oh by the way will you borrow me a set of 76 Twister pipes I only need them for a day and then they'd be sent right back. Bill borrowed me I think 5 sets of pipes off of his Oval sleds for me to try today. Is there some kind of Twister conspiracy out there ? Noone will borrow me a set. Must be some good pipes huh ? |

I'm working on doing the flanges for the head pipes. I'll get those cut out on CNC and then the tubes can be welded to them. I need several sets for some projects.
Let me see what I have for pipes layin' around.....

THANK YOU. By any chance do you have any super mod pipes ?? Thats great your working on them header pipes !!! Let me know when their done !!! Things are really starting to look up !!! Now if only the Mag housing and motor plate were able to be repro'd ?? |

Hey Josh, any idea on the cost for a set of twin pipes? Ballpark estimate? We are talking Scott Kaul correct? If things work out the way I hope, I would be interested in a set of stock reproduction 76 340 merc sno-twister pipes.

So you know Scott huh ? He used to kick the shit out of me when we had a regular circuit in southern wisconsin. The pipes aren't from him. I didn't ask a price and I didn't want to press the subject. The pipe guy told me that he was going to get ahold of me when he is ready.
