I am just curious was there any difference between the Rally's and the Nitro II's other than the hood? I have two Nitro II's and a Rally chassis and they look identical. One of the Nitro's has more wheels on the suspension. The other Nitro matches the Rally's suspension. They were all 440 dual carbs, at least when I got them they were. I noticed the Rally had an aluminum drive shaft with black drivers and the one Nitro I have stripped had a steel drive shaft with green drivers. Also. I need a replacement track as I only have one good one. What size are the tracks on these (length, width, and pitch). I should be able to get two sleds out of the rest of the parts that I haveif I can locate another track.

The Rupp track is 121 x 16 x 2.52 pitch. Most guys are replacing the original tracks using the common 15 x 121 x 2.52. A little modication of the upper suspension wheels are required but basically it is a direct bolt in swap. Hope this helps.

I did it and had to move the front drivers as well.

Yeah, like Roger said, you will need to move the drivers. Forgot about that part.

Thanks for the information, it sounds easy enough. I already have two sleds completely disassembled so hopefully I can figure that out while I am reassembling them.

If you cannot weld yourself you can use a rear arm off a F/A skid. The 75 F/A had one wheel in the middle and will work with a 15 inch track. It not that big fo a deal cutting the old ones off and welding them closer.. but... keep the same angle and make sure the distance between the wheels is right.
