I have raced my timing system 55 times so far this year. The timer keeps winning.

I'm not really a rupp racer anymore, sold my 75 f/a, it went to a good home in Fairbanks, Ak. But I have a good friend with a 72 nitro that I have done some clutching on. As of today I still have not been out testing, got the oval track plowed and my mercs close to ready. I plan on being out on the ice every day the week of new years and the week after leading up to Eagle River. Dale, what sleds have you been testing so far this year? I'll bet your 340 f/a will be in tip top form for Waconia. After Eagle River, I will get the new "D" stock trail twister out and with a little luck hopefully I can make that thing run. See ya at Waconia. Paul

Paul,...if I was a SMART racer I would have thrown the '76 Magnum to the way side and have been running my F/A340 on the timers,.....since my main goal this winter is to get the 340 ready for Waconia. However, I have only tested the Magnum so far. I continue to have a strong desire to see a stock '76 Magnum make a decent showing at a race. I believe part of this is due to my friendship with Tracy, Brian and Josh and part is due to the fact I like a challenge and would like to see a liquid Rupp at least place at a major race. While I dont believe a Magnum could ever challenge for the "B" stock title, even a 3rd would be,..... in my eyes,... a respectable showing. While I have made some major improvments to the Magnum this year it still is not ready to race. I have found this sled to be extremely challeging to "clutch". When it is ready to race, I hope to have Wendy do the driving,...just as Tracy and I had talked about before his passing.

Dale keep up the good work but don't short change yourself !!!! But then again theres probably not much work to do on your F/A's.
