I've been working on one of my new sleds its a 1971 23 sprint its got the little JLO single cylinder in it. got it home cleaned the gas tank and carb put on a new gas line. Caleb took it out for its maiden voyage it ran great, rode for about 15 minutes and it stalled. I have had the carb off 5 times can't figure it out. Keep in mind this motor does not have a external vacuum port it has the little hole on the bolt flange. I would like to install a different carb but I need a vacuum source. any suggestions? Sticks

Can you get it running again after it dies ?? What does it take to get it running again ?? The only way you'll get a different vacuum source it by putting a nipple in the crankcase. Which you would have to do a complete engine tear down.

It will stay running if I squirt fuel in it. I know its pumping fuel I can see it in the fuel line. The needel and seat seem to work when I have it apart. Anyway its another frosty morning here in Minnesota and I love a good challang. I let you know what I find tonight after I spend some more time on it. Thanks Sticks

I would like to say there is a lot of BS on this site. but! when it comes down to rupps this is only place to be. The sled now runs great! it was the gas cap, as some of you know this sled only has the one fuel line, it does not have the return line. and with a non venting cap after awhile it can't suck anymore fuel. Hope this helps someone else in the future. Thanks Sticks
