Here are a few pics from my uncle Eldon Peterson and 2nd cousin Howard Peterson at the I500 ST Paul to Winipeg. Eldon was a dealer from 72 - 76 north of Brainerd MN. Raced xcountry and has some trophies too. Drivers meeting. Eldon left Howard right. Local paper blurb. And this one is from Jan. 2007 after I cleaned up his 340 L/C for the Pequot Lakes Show. It had sat since '78. When he saw it, and his 250, he had a grin that I could see AND I WAS BEHIND HIM. [glow=red,2,300]Thanx for the use of this great new site!!!! Luv it!!![/glow] ;D

Yes that is his wifes 250! Cory the pictures lie a little. It does have stress cracks thoughout the hood and the belly pan has been repaired /re-enforced with tin. The pipes were bent and the left hand skii was worn to the leaf spring and replaced during the race. He didn't finish due to carbs freezing because Rupp / DDI forgot to tell him to cut a hole in the airbox until it was locked up prior to the race. He was passing the group ahead of him up until then but came in 1 half hour late to the 1st check point. Then with the problem with the skii before the next he had had enough. I'm trying to get it so that i can bring him and the sleds to the Krueger aid fest and Rupp reunion but he had a stroke and is now handicapped and won't be able to do it by himself. I told him he has to bring his trophies and stories as well as his pictures of he and Mickey and the DDI rep and etc. so we will see.

Other than the skii, and added gas tank in the seat for the long haul, they are both totally original!

Cory, this isn't using up to much of your band width is it? I want to post more pics of these sleds but don't want to bump any one else off due to that. Tom
