s209.photobucket.com/albums/bb242/tbpeabody/Pequot%202009/Well, we went to the Pequot Lakes MN show and had lots of fun despite all the trouble. The count for the ride was about 95 old sleds and a few newer ones for tow or backup. The ride on friday, I had to run full choke on the 72 American to get a whole whoppin' 15 mph and it liked to quit if I hit the throttle. Then we went to the campfire cook out but ditched the American and Yankee and took the L/C's. Lost the lights on the way there on the 340 but had the head lights for the way back. The fire was small this year but had fun anyway. It was so cold that the beer froze and was slush, put it by the fire to thaw but as soon as you opened it it froze again. Saturday was the show and counldn't get either of the Yankees started at first. The recoil on Kevins 75 Nitro broke and on the 73 Nitro, the elbow on the bottom of the tilly for the fuel line broke so had to squirt gas in the carb to get it to the show. There were about 140 sleds at the show. And we won the best costume award for the 3rd year in a row. Sunday was the breakfast and then went to my uncles and the kids rode around on the field. It had about 18 inches of powder on it and the sleds had so much snow under the hoods that it looked like they shoveled it in there. It was a fun time! Tom

;D Yeah, it was a fun time. The other 2 Rupps (F/A and American) belong to a really nice guy named Mark Stone. He also has a L/C. Monty, Dave, Brian and Dennis also came up for the ride and Dave and Monty stayed for the show and got to watch minnow races too. Had lots of comments on the Rupps which made me feel good. Had to yell at a couple of teens throwing ice chuncks as some hit my sleds. I got nervous as people cut between them with their helmets swinging from their elbows. That plastic is very brittle in -15 temps.

Sounds to me that you need to drink your beer a little faster !!!!!! Great Pics !!!!!!!! I love Jalopy rides but it just seems as though theres other stuff going on thats more important !!!
