After aprox. 5 yrs of negotiating I'm 99.99% sure I got this monster. Just a "little" more red tape to go through (liability reasons) and hopefully by the end of this month this 'ol elevator will be mine Our house is aprox. 250' to the right of it. Some think I'm crazy because it might burn down and it can't be insured, I'm willing to take that chance. It was built in 1949 and never caught fire yet, it is solid Douglas fir and orig. cedar shake roof. Should be able to store a few sleds and parts in there huh?

Cory, VERY cool! Do you have a ladder big enough when painting time comes around? LOL

LOL! yeah it's pretty wide open, Brandt I'm terrified of heights so paint is out of the question the raised ground you see in the foreground is where the old railroad tracks used to be, the alley way ( 2 track grass trail) is my backyard and along them bushes to the front of that little silver shed along the grain elevator is our drag strip, have to hack down some grass and start packin' it again

Hmmmm, It would be a shame to un occupy all that space. So................. when are you going to invite every one here out to set up "Camp Rupp" Sounds like a week end adventure. Admission could be a paint brush in hand. 2 hours later Camp Red would be under way.

Hi Dave any one, ANY TIME!!! "Camp Red" has a nice ring to it I like it ;D your all invited, the silence is deafining sometimes though, I'd love to have a get together here for the vintage rider's but it's the geographical location that turns people off (too far) but it really isn't. I'm about 240 miles straight north of Minot, ND so that's a starting point..

Hey Cory, Any good news yet, on Camp Red. By the way, that site on the old grain elevators is excellent! I shared that with a few family members

I have been busy with that the last few days, looks like a family member "needs more time" to think about it for a while, it's funny, I been here for 19 years and that place was abandoned before I got here. Now someone shows interest in it and all of a sudden it might be worth more than the 1 dollar asking price? I heard rumors there may be a bunch of back taxes to pay on it now too I'll keep ya posted on the happenings.
