76/77 nitro

Went shopping this week at the local rupp mall and found a couple of liquids. the 76 nitro is rough but complete. motor needs a couple of new pistons. the 77 is in better shape but no motor. These are my first xenoahs and I don't know much about them. So! guess who gets to help me. ;D
First off, I need pistons. /440cc (preferable high performance)
Are the motors the same for the 76/77?
need another motor.
Are the cylinders steel or chrome?
Seat covers, are ripped by the gas tanks, any repair to them?

I can answer one question for you. The motors are not quite the same. The 77 had a better lower end from what I've learned, like tow bearings on the clutch side. And if I remember correctly the pistons were a bit different. Wigman would be the one to ask but he isn't on here much any more.
