Can anybody tell me exactally what a 1971 634W/T is
Is this the discontinued 650 Nitro

No it isn't the 650 Nitro. It was a wide track model with the 634 Hirth motor in it. Tom

My dad bought a new 71 634 W/T back in the day. I was a small kid for an 11 year old , but I rode it many times. It had the same seat and deluxe backrest with wrap around tail lamps that the 72 American came with. That big old Hirth was a tough cold starter for a little guy and I'd have to rest after about 6 good pulls. We put a squeeze bulb primer on it and then it would always start within 3 pulls. The 634 Hirth was a heavy engine with lots of torque, but not really a racer. Nice sled to ride on a cold day...that 634 fan made lots of heat and it had the tall windshield. There's one I wish I had today. I always loved that 71 hood style.
