Hi Davet I don't know the part# off hand but the 96 and up "Cat clutch" puller is the same as the Hex, for the AC clutch up to '03?.. I know it works on a '98 ZRT and a '76 Rupp Cat/Hex

You can order one online at Hi-performance Engineering P/N 725-068. This is the puller for the hex clutch. I'm guessing you'll probably also need a set of bushings available at the same site (P/N 354-105) if it's jammed or rattles alot. The clutches on these take the standard bushings, not the extended. And why stop there, if your rollers are sloppy or flat-sided, pick up a roller kit # 354-101. These are all HPE numbers, not Cat numbers. The easy route would be to smack the moveable sheave with a rubber mallet until it returns to it's idle position

thanks guys...ill try the art of gentle persuasion suggested by bankruppt first...but likely ill need to rebuild it anyway...so ill see what the good folks at Royal Distributing have for Cat Pullers , 1996- 2003..if i get one for the 98 ZRT then that should work on my Alouette is what im hearing ....

Royal Distributing has the correct puller for the hex clutch "All 74-81 Model Cats" The nine tower clutch takes 9/16" threads just like the hexer, so it's puller would probably work too if it's the right length. I never knew that, Cory

AH, just has a deep shank so the threads can reach through the big nine tower clutch to get to the threads on the fixed sheave...I wondered how it could work on both clutches.
