After much urging Josh drove 225 miles one way by himself to attend the Waseca drag races today. I want to report to everyone that his mod stock Magnum runs really, really well. I was very surprised and impressed. While he didnt make any finals he was never out-classed in any race he ran all day. Josh ran against some of the fastest ice racers here in the Midwest and was very competitive. He even ran against the legendary Gary Fosters '77 Blizzard. No, he didnt beat Gary, but Josh still looked respectable, even against Gary. Several of us Rupp fans were talking in the bar after the races about how well Josh ran today. Everyone noticed. Nice job Josh. Glad you decided to come.

Great job Josh. I agree with Dale, your sled was impressive and I'm glad you made the trip over. Wish I would have had more time to chat with you, but it was a very busy weekend. There were top notch racers in every class.

Josh, you should be proud of the work you've done on that sled. Sorry I didn't get to see you after the races, but hope it was worth the trip and hope you'll be back next year! Thanks for coming down and congrats.

HOW ABOUT YOU DALE? ?WISH I COULD OF MADE IT..................DENNIS............ I am very, very happy with the mod-stock 340. While I will still need to find a couple more tenths to run with Petersons Alouette Super or Al Ennos liquid Blizzard, the sled ran strong,...especially considering I am still running the stock carbs and stock exhaust/cans. Probabley the most fun I have had at a race in the last 5 years. |

Glad you guys were impressed !!! I really wasn't so concerned about the racing in general. I wanted to hang out with you guys and just shoot the $hit !!! Dale that 340 is amazing fast and I'm sure it will be in the winner's circle. Thand again Dale for snagging some tools from Paul for me. And it was really nice that you and Travis helped me so much at the line. When Travis slammed down the back of my sled and fired it up for me it took alot of the edge off !!! Before that I was a nervous wreck !!! Yesterday was truly the best time I ever had racing. Being amongst friends and the way everything was ran so smooth. You couldn't ask for a nicer track and porta tree set up.
I was looking forward to shooting the $hit with Rick too and was really surprised you weren't there. If I would of known I would of picked you up on the way. I pretty much drove right past your house to get there. Oh Well. I won't miss that race again. I can finally say that I made it to Tracey's race. And it was more than i ever would of imagined. Thanks again you guys !!!!

Yeah !!! by the time the photo was taken all that would of showed is ice chunks flying ;D  I think Dale crapped himself by the looks of that picture !!!  |

But I think the photo of Mr. Sloper has to be the best photo yet. That expression had to have shaved a few tenths off the clock. OK. Now THAT is a very, very bad picture of me. I am NOT that ugly,......I am actually quite a good looking guy. |

Just so you know Kelly Anderson is a guy, there is another photographer Dawn Cross now she's agirl! LOL Kelly is about 6'2" and is a big guy.
