Hey All,
What are the best plugs that you guys find to run in the TR 440 motor. I am concerned with fouling out. I know my bike likes to just eat them. I have played with different brands of 2 stroke oil, and it seems the racing oil, will foul out my plug faster then cheap stuff. I don't want to carry 100 plugs with me this winter. can you guys help with this? This is a brand new motor, from bottom to top and i am seeking a little advice on the break in period. Thanks in advance, Dave.

how are you mixing your oil? I use br9hs in my tohatsu motors. Break it in like you are going to ride it. Just don't hold a steady RPM.

Just don't hold a steady RPM. Best break in advice EVER! Steady RPMs don't apply pressure to the rings to seat them against the bore while the hone on the cylinders is still course. The hone pattern in the cylinders will wear away quickly, so it's important to get the rings seated while it's there. Varying throttle positions with short bursts of wide open will seat the rings in nicely! I would also recommend using a good mineral oil in the first tank to aid in break in. Then switch to synthetic if you want.

I guess it doesn't make much difference on the RPM then if this works for you. every new motor I have broke in I have never held a constant RPM and I have never had a problem. I was told by many mechanic's your rings will seat fast and better if you change your RPM.

Varying throttle positions is g2g in break in. You better watch it, you get crabby and your posts will start getting deleted!
