Is there any advantage in putting a single Mukuni carb on a Tohatsu 440-40hp? Pros/cons? thanks.

I will say this, there is only pros in my book! We have one on both of our yankees. They work so much better and give them a little more umph! granted I believe they are 30hp, but still it keeps up with my 75 nitro 340 fc. Before I was doin circles around it. My advice to everyone, when in doubt, put a mikuni on it!

You sure can. I would advice you use the shorter cable.

Also I believe you are going to need a different carb boot to make it fit. Do you have one already?

My next build,a 1970WT,will have a 440 with the Mikuni carb. The whole back of motor is in the open,so that will work just hunky-dorey! My motor is getting different jugs/pistons/rings,the carb is being checked out and I got the Comet clutch already for it. It just doesn't get any better than this!!
