I just pulled it apart to clean it up and noticed where the spring goes in there are 3 holes to choose from. mine is in the center hole. if i go with the last hole and get a tighter wind on the spring, what will the effect be as far as engagement? allot? or not even noticeable. Or should i just put it back in the same hole. my comet 94 C duster is set for 3,800 rpm. i definitely want some punch! Thanks, Dave.

The secondary clutch set at hole #3 will take higher rpm's to get the belt to drop to the max where as hole #1 won't take any effort. At hole #1 it will reach the top speed of the secondary easier and sooner but sometimes will dog it out if the primary clutch engages to soon. I have a 73 295 I drag and it has 5 holes on the secondary. I use a green primary spring and have the secondary set at #2. With good traction it will lift the skiis about 6 inches or so. It engages on the factory tach at 3600 r's warm and 4000 cold. Hope this helps. Tom
