I hhave never seen a picture of a 600-800 MAGNUM on a racetrack. not even in the sno tech photo albums. were they competitive? Did they run long enough to make it to the starting line? I always heard the 800,s were slow as a 40hp Yankee, and the 600,s blew up as soon as the clutch engaged. Does anyone have a pic. except Salters upgrade mod. of one on a track?

I don't have them on this computer. I'll have to do some digging but it is hard to find pic's of the big 71 magnums on the track.

I've heard one of the problems with the 600's were that the belts blew and that bent the cranks. I think they made good power, but then so did the 440's.
