OK, after years of collecting NOS parts and restoring everything from stem to stern, and working for weeks to try and get the thing together, almost ready to get the ole' girl (1977 Nitro 440 L/C) fired up! I need one thing, though - it has been so long since I had to mix oil and gas, I don't really know what to do. I know premium gas, but what kind of oil do you recommend? What is the mixing ratio??? Please let me know, want to get her running this weekend. Sled looks great, will be posting pics soon. Thanks for any help.

i use arctic cat 50:1 injection oil and mix 4o:1. 16 ounces to 5 gallons of gas. always have done this and never had a problem you can mix it 32:1 for your first tank of gas that surley will not hurt. good luck, hope to see pictures soon. b.s.

I use Klotts synth techniplate - pre mix, in some sleds and Amsoil Synth in others...
never had a problem with either one.....
Personally, i think if you buy a "quality" oil you'll be fine regardless of the Brand (Klotts, Amsoil, whatever). I just dont like the white label, cheapy stuff .
