I started with #000 steel wool and used armor all wheel and Mag cleaner. Next I started wet sanding with 800 grit and worked my way up to 1,500 grit. I used the wheel cleaner each time I sanded instead of water and rinsed & dried between steps. Last I used aluminum polish and polished by hand. I found a polish by the brand name of MAAS at our local grocer. I have mothers polish but, i liked the end result with the MAAS. This only took me a few nascar races to complete. lol !!! Now i am sandblasting some body parts and when that is done i will start in on the tunnel. Then the new track and new suspension springs will go in. I will be placing new lower panels on and the cowl will be professionally painted by a Friend. labor of love.
