A friend of mine has a 76 Nitro 250 liquid that he bought in Wis. He was told that there was only 220 made. Is this a rare racing sled or did they make alot of these? Thanks for any history you can shine on this subject.

Not sure of the production numbers, but not rare. The 77 had the same motor as the 76 as well.

We are trying to find out what this thing is worth. I've dealt in Yamaha's and Merc's. Dont know that much about Rupp's. I will tell you this it is very clean and 468 miles on the odometer. I was hoping to see a few for sale to get an idea. Thanks for any help out there.

Well they don't typically go for a lot. Especially the 250's. It's a great engine, but you can find it pretty much anywhere. The Odometer in many different years of Rupps stop working, So that could be the mileage at which it stopped working or the milage of the speedometer that they replaced the bad one with. Just to give ya a heads up.

I was just informed that a real clean one goes for 1000 or so. I will tell you he paid more than that and it sounds like he will end up keeping it because he thought it was worth quite a bit more. Will more than likely end up on ebay just to see what he can get. Thanks for all your advice.
