Hi guys, have 70's Nitro w/440 tohatsu w/serial # 2008520, anyone know about vin decoding or can someone give me help on this, thanks, Tim

From what I understand the VIN number really are no help. If your Nitro has fold down side panels it's a 1972 Nitro. If it has a one piece flip up hood it's a 1973. 72's have points in the motors and 73's are CDI motors. And true Nitro motors have an "S" in the code (TR440-S is a 72 Nitro motor). Hope this helps.

Your VIN # is a 1973 machine, produced in 1972.
