I'm at home today and don't have any drivers here to measure up! Trying to figure out a couple of new gearing options. What is the diameter difference between the 9 & 10 tooth front drivers for the 72/73 Nitros?

Brandts repopped front 10 tooth is 7 1/8" outside diameter,6" at bottom of teeth, hence the 6" idler wheel. All my 9 tooth are buried in boxes. 5 1/2"at base of teeth, because the 9 tooth takes a 5 1/2" idler wheel.

1/2 an inch. If you use the 10 tooth you will need to go with the 6 inch idler wheel. I am starting to make the mold for them this week.

This doesn't sound right. I thought the 10 tooth were like 6.125 and 9 were 6.000 ? I'll have to measure some up when I get to the shop this week

The ten tooth driver is 6". A standard nine tooth driver is 5 1/2" Here's a set of re-lined 5 1/2" idlers over-layed onto the nine and ten tooth drivers.

Ive never done this before so give me the dummy version from the bad one to the good one !! What would I do to replace in 72 dual drive ? The only thing I did was put 74 drivers on 72 shaft for a polaris track . Just get them in place and drill hole for bolts !!

You can use 74 suspension by moving wheels that go up on track ! When you use the 74 suspension you have to remove front plate and you should angle cut hyfax because the track will bounce and hyfax will catch in holes I Didn't and learned the hard way Istill don't have them cut but I don't have plate on it !
