Who's all going to it?? I think the dates are Aug 23-25. I know I'll be there,for one day.    I won't be selling,BUT I'll be buying!!! If you see me,ask me for one of my Rupp buttons,FREE to Rupp guys/gals ONLY!!! I had a whole bunch made up,3 different designs. Maybe the Rupp guys/gals can have a name tag with their sled site name! There are alot of guys/gals I haven't met. ONLY thing I ask in return[for the button],is a Rupp business card.Fair enough. |

I'll be there, hopefully, representing Rupp for Friday night under the lights drags. Its my wifes birthday, already got round one out of the way when I marked the calander, hoping round 2 goes better the day of.

Man,was it HOT down there!!! BUT there was a breeze to help out some. I left my trailer at home.That was a huge mistake!! First row in,a $50 Rupp,missing the seat.2-1973 Nitros,no seats,$150 OBO each.Tohatsu engines,a 73 TR295S,$75. TR340,$75.There were plenty of 2 wheeled sled dollies,$50-$100 each.Again,I did not attempt to walk the whole swap,just to darn big & it was too HOT!!!! I did manage to get a SACHS SA290,missing the recoil[cheap],a NEW tether switch[cheap],an NOS Rupp suspension spring[FREE],2 rubber recoil handles[cheap],a BING air box,with the carb bracket[cheap].I only gave away one button,he asked,no one else did.I saw plenty of people I knew,but only 2 Rupp guys.This swap is getting HUGE!!

damn Hot!!! Slept in race trailer & friggen air bed went down right away, too sore to do the whole swap. Might have stopped by your swap but didn't see the buttons & was trying to pay attention for the camo pants & Rupp shirt? Did score a complete set of NOS - 440 SR3 pistons w/ring sets, & SR3 jug. Made my day!!! OH, the Good Ferry came during the night & laid a matching rope handle on my Open Mod Rupp race sled ( DisRUPPtion), wasn't U by any chance? Man the peeps sure dug the fact I brought the old triple F/A Hirth up there. Had a crowd around it most the time it was in the pits. Got alot of very helpful tech advise on it from some old race motor builders. When I was tuning her in and I'd start it up, people would come walkin over from far side of pits LOL! If it were'nt for the burp at the line, she hung about same distance behind the other Pro Built, liquid, computer mapped, heavy hitter sleds. Had a blast! Someone took a vid of her, I'll post if I can track it down.

hoots,I wasn't swapping,just a tired spectator!! Had cameo pants,an OD Vintagesledders T shirt & red Rupp baseball cap,also had a duct tape name tag.I never watched the drags,heard the noise,that's it! I'm sure we will meet sometime tho'. I'll be up in Brainerd,MN on Sept 14th,swap & drags. Will give away buttons at my swap table.  |
