not to bad about 12 rods, i tried my skills at arc welding aluminum.not the easiest to do,as it shows but i think its going to hold, doing the track swap now, 73 scorpion track and para-rial.

Dam straight! but i haven't't been using it much latly, totally disassembled the scorpion suspension and installed new idlers axels, and finish the drivers and mounted on the axle, now I'm rolling the chain case (lowering)for more clearance this should be intresting

Mocked up the CAN exhaust and mount the chain case. I lowered the chain-case a 1"1/4 with out checking the drive belt clearance....i lucked out it fit, with a little massaging of the motor mount plate arms.

Is that a Scorpion clutch guard?? Lets see a closeup of the bottom of chaincase, also the right side where the bearing cup mounts.Did you really have to lower the chaincase for track clearance, because of track spikes? How much clearance do you have now?If you would have run into belt problems, you could have tweaked the engine mount.Hopefully your welding will hold, you have put alot more strain on the front end, wider plus ski spreaders.Time will tell.Good job so far.

yes it is,i had to move the gauge pod to the other side so i could use it, i like the looks of it and its stronger than the plastic guard and lighter than the steel one, plus the motor mounts and the conversion. as far as the chain-case, i acutely start cutting the motor mount in half on two of them with my ice pics, the tunnels were getting so tore up that on the third one i thought id try lowering the case now i have plenty of room, i put gussets in the tunnel to shim the suspension and drilled four hole for adjustment front and back for ski pressure or a wheelie machine and there are bolts holding that front end on as well as my welds.
