Here is a 1971 Rupp Magnum we built for Jim Binkley this last fall here at "The Rupp Shop". Jim came down in September/October from Alaska and checked it out first hand here at the shop. we built the whole sled from a scratch witch started out a 1971 Rupp magnum n/t. we highly modified the sled completely. the 440 tohatsu motor has been "massaged", (lol) by me and makes some awesome power. New track, updated suspension, every nut and bolt done through. Jim will race the sled on a winding river in Alaska this winter. the race will run 30 miles one way and then turn around and run 30 miles back. sounds pretty cool to me!!! here is a pic of jim and I JURL=http://s656.photobucket.com/user/racingelvis/media/DSCN1408_zpsa002fe7b.jpg.html] [/URL] being crated up . going to Alaska!!! hope you like the pics,.....b.s.171

Very nice sled, is there an advantage to mounting the track backwards?

Installing the track backwards you would get better traction as the track would get a better bite with the track lugs facing the other way. In doing so you would reduce the tracks ability to stop the machine properly.

Super clean looking setup-looking forward to a full rundown of the race results.
