Here's something I've never seen mounted on ski's, or seen any ski's drilled for them. Like pizza cutters, they're supposed to help your sled turn better. View Attachment Mark, Redleader had a set of these on an 800 magnum that was suppose to be owned by Chuck Brightly. They were chrome just like the ski and fit the 71 chrome ski like it was made for it.......... cool hood by the way and where is the pic of the engine? Ed

No powertrain came with it. Nothing, not even the driveshaft.

Sweet hood, like the pin stripe. $700, back in the day for that clutch, quite the chunk of change then.

Sweet hood, like the pin stripe. $700, back in the day for that clutch, quite the chunk of change then. That was a month's pay for a lunch bucket. Bob said it was last off the line every time. As soon as the engine fired, the brake had to be held hard. Rope start, too. Clutch was filled with whale oil.

Darren wasn't that an Inviter? I think there was one with the cooling in the skis too. It must have been the same one Mark saw. I think they were Green. Kurt Krieger had the one with the coolant running through the skis at one time.

The one I remember was a one-off oval sled, maybe late 70's, liquid cooling was hi-tech.

Rick I only remember seeing the skis with hoses attached. I do not recall how the coolant flowed through them. I also do not know their application or if they were an aftermarket trinket. dc
