 Here is the 69 gas tank with top removed. ONLY has baffles on the bottom,half way up. These would be easier to clean than the 70 & up.You know,it will be tough to give this up COMPLETELY!!! When the 2 builds are done in my shop,guess what.Next summer,I build another one.The color for the Rupps was discussed in another thread on here. I think it started when I brought the black one home,with the skeleton motiff!! I like this blue, it's Dan's blue.  |

Gas tank is all ground,cleaned & sealed on my welds. Now I have to think of a nice color to paint it.Pink?? Glow in the dark ORANGE?? Camoflauge?? Red?? Dark blue?? Black?? Gray?? Well,I'll think about it for a few days. I have to sand the hood & do some minor fiberglasing around the mounting holes.I'm thinking the hood will get 2 colors.  |

Hey Dan,
have you ever tried the chrome spray in a can over chrome? Gonna give that a go on the skis I have and see if the centers will look a bit better.

I have it looks pretty good just be careful polishing around it, it comes off pretty easy. The chrome seems a little better than the aluminum paint that comes right off if you touch it.

This sled has a very narrow ski stance,but skis don't hit track . |
