Need some info from the Rupp nation. Did Rupp ever offer a Sachs single engine in the 1971 or 73 Magnums? Could you order it with a Sachs 340ss or a 340C?
Did ANY Rupp ever run a Sachs sa370 single or offer the upgrade 400cc single kit?
What were the widths for the Magnum bulkheads in 1971 and in 1973?
Thanks!!

Were the Sachs engines used in any Nitros?

No Sachs motors used in any Nitro's. 1970 had a 340, 440 and 800 Magnum,all Sachs. The 800 was a bored 740C. The '70 295 Magnum was JLO, the 634 Magnum was,um, I forget.

Ok, just one more. The 1970 Magnum Sachs 340, was it 340R, 340ss, or 340C? Fan cooled SS. I think the only free-air was the 800 Sachs. It was easy enough to change any motor to free-air back then, lots of them were converted. Add a megaphone or pipe and race modified. The first welded case motor I saw was two Sachs singles welded together, owned by Monte Seidel.

In 69 did they make a GTX 400? I'm sure that would have been a Sachs.
