Finally brought the sleds into the garage and tore into the wifes machine. Its a quite tippy for her so I widened it 6 inches each side. I figured why go through all the work for a couple inches. Just have to hole saw a few spots to get the nuts on. Will be 44 inches outside to outside skies.

Attachment DeletedGot her all together. Just have to widen the tie rods. Looking for some wide spindles to fit this 71 as well, If anyone has a couple to sell that aren't bent ,please message me. Might add a brace to the outer edge of the bulkhead that runs diagonal to the bottom of the side panel, just to keep the bulkhead from coming back if a chance low speed encounter with a tree ever occurs, lol. Your project looks real nice. I am in the process of building the same sled. I only widened the front six inches total. I have a ski doo suspension with a 139 inch track in the rear. It will be getting a sachs 440. Keep up the good work.

Did a similar project. Mine has a combination of years with involute drive. Ski stance is 41+1/2 to the outside. I did add a brace as shown in photo. It was a fun project can't wait to try it. I have those spindles if you need them. Awsome sled! Ill PM about the spindles !Thanks.
